Organizational Development is the process of aligning human capital strategy with the mission, vision, values, and strategy of the organization.
It includes organizational structure, supporting systems and processes, leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, and talent engagement (including design of reward and recognition systems).
The overall theory is that a unity of what the organization is and what it wishes to accomplish with that of the individual and his or her goals will propel the organization to greater levels of performance.
This comes with Communication skills, coping and problem solving skills, Discipline techniques, attitudes toward and tolerance of problem behaviors and Respect for others.
Let me remind/inform us that in SCOYAN, for organizational development, here are the process of aligning the human capital within:
To engage youths productively in value re-orientation, civic leadership, sustainability education, national development and integration through Social Youth Organizations.
To assist the Government of Nigeria meet her Development Goals in line with full implementation of National Youth Policy of Nigeria.
Our goal is to reach as many youth organizations as possible in various communities in order to create a model for learning, researching, collaborating, sensitizing, advocating and sharing ideas. These ideas will then be linked with hands-on projects that others will emulate nationally. The Socio-Community Youth Association of Nigeria (SCOYAN) will work to have at least one meaningful project in every State per year.
The organization will seek to improve youth conditions, prepare youth for leadership through service, and alleviate poverty in Nigeria through sustainable education programs, reorientation and patriotism with a goal to serve in all geopolitical zones in the country. This organization shall by no means be politically affiliated.
These objectives shall be carried out to involve youth directly *by creating relevant structures such as the Youth Cluster arm, the Youth Legislative arm and such other ones to meaningfully engage youth.* (Hence, the sermon of get involved and organized)
The Socio-Community Youth Association of Nigeria (SCOYAN) shall only intervene members from affiliated organizations and individuals actively engaged in a youth organization between the ages of (16-35) active members, volunteers and partners whom their objectives centre on the above age bracket in line with our Volunteer, Ethical/Code of Conducts and Partnership policies and procedures. *(SCOYAN is not a conventional Nigerian youth organization where anything works)*.
The operations shall be through a National, State and local chapters. This constitutes the pet project of the NGO identified as SCOYAN Youth Cluster or SCOYAN Youth Legislature. It must be youth led and within the age bracket *(that is the reason, when Hafiz became 36 years moved up the ladder to allow this manifest)*. In achieving the above, this Organization has resolved to:
*Assist the Government of Nigeria meet all the UN SDGs, AU2063 agenda and Commonwealth Youth Councils Strategic Plans by:*
Establishing pilot programs in regions where access is granted to at-risk, in-need populations;
Partnering with other existing youth organizations that operate across Nigeria and share its vision;
Assisting and support the existing projects of partner(s) or member organizations to improve the quality and quantity of service offered to target and immediate communities;
providing and encourage the development of organized rural and urban educational and recreational activities;
Engaging in fundraising to assist, support and foster the endeavors of the Organization, members and its partners;
Bringing together Social/Community Youth Organizations, in a forum setting, to discuss the challenges faced by Nigeria as a nation and develop potential solutions;
Strengthening the capacity of partnering or affiliated Youth Organizations and establishing specific thematic focused Youth organizations to meaningfully engage Nigerian youths;
Educating youth about Nigeria’s crises and assist them in collectively raising funds and other material resources to donate to designated communities in Nigeria;
Creating opportunities for exceptionally passionate and qualified youth to gain first-hand experience of the rich diversity and unique challenges found within Nigeria;
